What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website leaves in your browser. It lets the site remember that you have visited before, keep your booking form filled in while you move between pages, or count how many people opened a page. Cookies don't carry viruses and can't read anything else on your device.
We also use related storage, such as your browser's local storage, for the same kinds of tasks. This policy covers both.
Cookies we use
Our site uses a small number of cookies, and they fall into three groups:
- Strictly necessary — these keep the booking form working, remember your cookie choice and let the site load pages securely. Without them the site doesn't function, so they are not optional.
- Analytics — these tell us which pages people read, how long they stay and where they came from, using aggregate numbers. We use them to spot broken pages and pages nobody reads.
- Booking and payment — set by our booking and payment partners when you start a reservation, so your dates and room choice are held while you enter your details.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies to follow you around other websites.
Third-party cookies
A few cookies on our pages are set by other companies rather than by us. Our payment provider drops cookies when you reach their payment screen. Our analytics provider sets cookies that report aggregated traffic back to us. If we embed a map on the contact page, the map service sets its own cookies too.
Each provider has its own privacy and cookie policy, and we don't control what they store. We only work with providers who meet Australian privacy standards.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies whenever you like. Every major browser has settings for this, usually under Privacy or Site Data:
- In Chrome, go to Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies
- In Safari, go to Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
- In Firefox, go to Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
- In Edge, go to Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
You can also browse in a private or incognito window, which clears cookies when you close it. If you block all cookies, the booking form may not keep your details between steps, and you will likely need to enter your dates again.
Changes and contact
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date of the current version is shown on the page where it appears.
If you want to know more about how we handle personal information, see our privacy policy. For anything about cookies specifically, email demanali@hotmail.com and we will get back to you.
